Premium Olive Oil

Gresk premium extra virgin olivenolje  - Organic 500ml. It is olive oil of the highest quality from:

• Athinolia from Monemvasia,
• Koroneiki from Kalamata, Peloponnese.

It is mechanically cold-pressed at first pressing (without chemicals), and meets strict requirements for purity, low acidity and real olive aroma. Greek premium extra virgin olive oil is the world leader in this oil category.

Properties

• Raw material and taste: Often produced from renowned olive varieties such as Koroneiki or Kalamata, which give a rich, fruity and often slightly peppery taste.
• Acid level: To be classified as "extra virgin", the acid content (free oleic acid) must be below a maximum of 0.8%, but premium varieties are often much lower, often down to 0.2–0.3%.
• Health: It is full of antioxidants, healthy monounsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E.

Uses

• Raw: Excellent as a finishing oil over salads, soups, pasta or dipped in freshly baked bread to preserve the fresh flavor.
• Frying: Despite myths, the oil can withstand high heat and is excellent for frying meat, fish and vegetables.
• Storage: Should be stored in the dark and at room temperature (not in the refrigerator) to preserve flavor and antioxidants.
